Serving on the Parent Club Board is voluntary. Board members are exempt from the Parent Hours requirement for their academic year in office.
Elections for Board positions typically are held each spring for the following school year. But the election for our 2020-2021 Board has been delayed by the COVID-19 campus closure. The election date is to be announced.
The Parent Club Board meets monthly on the third Thursday. Our meetings are open. To address the Board, please join our agenda by contacting the President at least one week before the meeting.
None of the below requirements apply to families on Tuition Plan B.
By selecting Tuition Plan A, your family committed to contributing 30 Parent Hours* to our Parent Club's fundraising efforts. At least five hours must be earned from help with our Spring Gala and Auction.
*New Families: Families in your first year at OLF (with a Kindergartener or transfer student) are required to complete only 15 Parent Hours. You are a "first year" parent entitled to this hours reduction even if your child attended OLF Preschool.
The Parent Hours requirement is per family, no matter how many children from your family are enrolled.
During the school year, general Parent Club meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday. Any scheduling changes will be announced in the weekly school newsletter and updated on the school calendar. All parents are encouraged to attend our general meetings. You will earn one Parent Hour per family for attending an entire meeting.
On behalf of each family, Parent Hours can be earned only by the enrolled child's parents, step-parents, grandparents and/or legal guardians. Families desiring an alternate arrangement must get advance approval from the Parent Club Board.

You are responsible for tracking and reporting all earned Parent Hours. More information about our hours-tracking system will be shared at the beginning of the school year.
You may not transfer earned Parent Hours between families unless the Parent Club Board gives advance approval.
Families are charged $50/hour except unearned Spring Gala and Auction hours are charged at $100/hour.
For some Parent Club fundraisers, each family must sell a minimum number of event tickets. You will earn 0.5 Parent Hours for each ticket you sell above the minimum requirement.
