Eirnan tested whether "The 5-Second Rule" can be trusted. He dropped various foods on the floor and swabbed them for bacteria, then grew the bacteria in petri dishes. He also swabbed food that was not dropped on the floor to see if bacteria would grow. From his experiment and research Eirnan concluded that The 5-Second Rule cannot be trusted due to the various harmful bacteria being present on the floor.

Hunter tested whether various gummy candies would expand in different liquids (water, salt water, olive oil and vinegar). His experiment resulted in each candy growing in various liquids, which demonstrated how osmosis works. The gelatin acted like a cell membrane and allowed the liquids to enter the candy but not leave.
