Kindness Week is coming to OLF during the week of February 14th. This year's theme is Being Kind is Cool.
Our students honored Mr. Leon Ketcher with OLF's first Wildly Kind Wildcat Award during our Kindness Week Kick-Off Assembly.
Kindness Week will kick off with an assembly, held at 8:15 a.m. during our Morning Prayer and Song Practice in the Church. Families are invited to join us.
SHOW KINDNESS WITH COLOR
Preschool and TK-8 students are invited to Show Kindness in Color with a Valentines-themed Free Dress. Participating students may wear red, white and/or pink and jeans.
SHOW KINDNESS WITH WORDS
When filling out Valentine cards, we challenge all of our students to Show Kindness With Words by writing a kind message to each recipient. What's something you like about them? What's something they're good at? What makes them a good friend? Brighten their day by paying a compliment!
SHOW KINDNESS WITH ACTIONS
Big and Little Buddies will meet up to share in fun and games, spreading kindness through fellowship and friendship.
SHOW KINDNESS WITH GIVING AND GRATITUDE
A Kindness Cart will cruise campus, giving students an opportunity to pick a prize or treat--giving them an opportunity to practice gratitude.
We'll close out the week with a Being Kind is Cool Rally at 11 a.m., led by our Student Government officers. And Mrs. Forte is being kind by giving students a Noon Dismissal.
Throughout the week, students can write down acts of kindness they've done or observed and grow our school-wide Kindness Chain. Students will also have a chance to win tickets if staff see their acts of kindness, and those tickets will be entered in a raffle to win prizes.
